Terrific park, great place to spend a quiet afternoon. We cooked a meal, hung out in a hammock, and enjoyed the humidity.
Real good playground area - the new one was top notch and a circus theme and the older one was a fort theme. Both worked well. A lot of space and you could go over and easily have a picnic and play day.
Best park around. Fun hiking trails and tons to do here. Great place for family and picnics.
Had they not attacked, my rating would have been a five out of sheer enjoyment for this park... Even though the water from all fountains was not potable.
What a beautiful area! Upon first arriving I shuttered a bit that we had to pay three dollars per person in the car( including a 16 month old!) Just to gain entry. But boy howdy was I expressed by the park as a whole. Tennis courts, green houses, paved nature trails, and more jungle gyms and playground sets than we had time to visit.
I found this park as I was traveling through Louisiana. Very much worth the detour from my travel route. This is one of the best off leash dog parks I have ever seen. Hills, grass, trees, sandy area, water fall,seating areas, this place has it all. Very nice size, well maintained and very clean.
My only complaint is the park staff regrettably choosing to discriminate against my partner and I and harass us due to our method of transportation. It was incredibly unprofessional and unpleasant to encounter such an attitude in individuals ruling an otherwise peaceful park with an iron fury and authoritative golf cart.
