They have good prices an great helpful staff..they just need more exotic reptiles
Absolutely love the animal house best prices and amazing staff
Aquariums had dead fish floating in the tanks, bunnies pen stank with all the urine. Bird droppings on empty cages and floor. Several aquariums were very cloudy. The employees aren't doing their job!! We were there after 1pm. They were open at 7 am and had NOT cleaned the dead fish out of tanks or cleaned the animal pens. I won't be coming back!! Thus used to be a very nice place!!
From what Pam tells me, some animals don't survive very long at The Animal House. After live trapping a pet rat and seeking some type of humane assistance from them because albinos don't generally make it in the wild, Pam informed me that it likely wouldn't last long there either, they feed most of their rats to their snakes. Thru her laughter, she said I was more than welcome to bring it to them, tho. If I had wanted to kill the rat, why would I had live trapped it? This employee "Pam", isn't the type of person that should be working with pets.
I've been doing business here for almost 30 years. I have our have had at one time many common and exotics pets and the staff has always been knowledgeable and very helpful. I've been able to find did options but available at many of the chain stores and the visit is always enjoyable. I would recommend this place to everyone. I love the people, the knowledge and the options. Couldn't live without this place.
