As a former employee I can say that I personally witnessed them take a child’s cup. We had to buy our own shirts which is against the law, $10.50 a shirt I believe it was. I was worked like a dog for many many long hours. I was yelled at for refusing to make coleslaw out of rotten cabbage. The freezer area is absolutely disgusting as well as the crawfish area. I was yelled at for not wearing makeup to work many many things.
I've eaten here many times over the last four years since I moved back to the area. I have been there for lunch and dinner both and had excellent food and service every time I have been. The only complaint I have had was merely a seasoning issue where I felt it needed more salt. I fixed that myself.
I have no idea where these other people went to eat, but I have never once seen ANY incidents of rude or unprofessional behavior from any of the staff or management. If you want a good meal for a decent price, just ignore the personal vendetta that appears to be playing out in these comments and go to Cheniere Shack and enjoy!
The owners - Terry and Robin - are two of the rudest, most awful, horrible people you will ever meet. They yell at the waiters in front of the customers. I have had them be rude to me as a customer as well, for asking to have my steak cooked longer. They were also out of several things including a side that just plain didn’t come out with the meal and no difference in price.
The most horrible rude owners I have ever seen in my life. This place is filthy, I wouldn't let my dog eat here. A long long time ago this place was good but not anymore. I've never been treated more rudely than the last time I was here. I had to go find my waitress after an hour of being finished with my meal to get my ticket so I could leave. The food was horrible and the place is infested with roaches . Eat at your own risk and be sure to pray over your food! You will need it!!!!
Crystal's service was excellent as was the shrimp etoufee.
