DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE! I was there enjoying myself initially and then I came down for breakfast. There was absolutely no breakfast ready even though it was breakfast time. But okay I'll wait patiently along with another family. Now just to be clear, I'm black and the other family was black also. They were there first and then I came and there was no food left so I asked the attendant to bring out more food. A Caucasian lady comes and starts to wait also. When Miss Pat brings out the food she tells me that I've already eaten, which I hadn't, and to move so the Caucasian lady can get some food. She was rude and her tone was nasty. I'm assuming that she thought I was with the other black family. I wasn't. First, she shouldn't have said that to any customer regardless of the race. Second, you should not assume that all people are together just because they're the same race. I complained about it, no one apologized or said anything. Not to mention I was not able to have a good breakfast because she was not able to keep the food or plates out on the buffet a line. So I had to eat my eggs separate from my waffle and separate from my sausages. Furthermore, I found roaches in my room.
I have high expectations for the Wyndham Hotel since I visited there in Chicago years ago had a wonderful experience. Based on this experience I don't know if I'd ever give the Wyndham Hotel my money again. Im disgusted by this and I will be reaching out to the BBB and putting the word out on more social media's.
This hotel was highly disappointing. The only good thing was that we had rooms and the sheets were clean. Besides that the fitness center was shoddy. The hot tub was broken and the indoor heated pool was not heating. So I couldn’t let the family swim. The breakfast was subpar and the waffle maker was broken. Also, the staff was so unfriendly and unprofessional. She seemed like she hated life. I get working at the front counter of a hotel isn’t a dream job but be professional!
Booked this room, specifically for the heated pool and hot tub. Hot tub had been drained and pool was not heated. Other small issues cropped up during our stay. Not enough towels, not enough bedding, not enough coffee, and the list continues. Not a good visit because of the disappointment of the room. For the amenities I thought I was getting and didn't receive, I could have stayed at another hotel for half of what I paid. Oh, I went down for breakfast at 7:55 a.m. and there was nothing left. Mattresses on bed are worn to the extent that we felt the springs and there was a very strong chemical smell in the room. We will not book another Wyndham room in the future, nor, recommend to our friends.
Staff stole a wallet out the room. When the front desk was informed about the situation. They treated him like it was his fault that his walker was stolen from his room. A guest shouldn't have to worry about their belongings. The staff shouldn't touch a guests personal belongings POINT BLANK. This isn't the first time that someone with this group of workers who stayed at this hotel that had something come up missing out of their room. A co-workers phone was stolen the last time they stayed at this poorly managed hotel. The HOTEL should be held fully responsible for the replacement cost of the $150.00 Twic card needed for work. As well as the replacement cost for the identification needed for work. I'm going to continue to post this on every sight possible.
We started our weekend in a first floor room. Some guests stayed out on the patio until 3am talking/laughing until we got up and asked staff to talk to them about moving away from the building. Then we asked to be moved the second night, to find out the TV didn't work and had to move again after the dinner hour. We asked for compensation for the loss of sleep and constantly repacking our stuff to move. We over slept the first morning too. then found the continental breakfast was shut down. We too had roaches and lizard noted the first day! Will not be staying here again! 9/23-24.
